Cordlock has a nylon cord that you draw to raise and can then be locked it into place when it is in the required position. This cord can then be released to lower. A child safety cleat is also supplied.
Sidewinder is a continuous chain mechanism with a low gearing, so it is more suitable for raising and lowering heavy or wide blinds. We would recommend this for blinds over 120cm wide or if is will be frequently raised and lowered.
Kensington Plain Roller Blind Tropez
The Kensington roller blind is one of our most popular designs. This is the case as it is made with a quality fabric and is available in a selection of colours, it is also suitable for kitchens and bathrooms as it is resistant to moisture. The fabric here is of a medium thickness, which allows it to diffuse some light. This means while it will let some light through, as a plus point it offers great levels of privacy. Should you need additional advice on what to consider when buying a roller blind, we have a selection of buying guides to help. These are quite extensive, including topics on how to make a roller blind order, how to fit a roller blind, as well as advice on how best to clean and maintain a blind.
